The idea
Most people live in a five-block radius of their apartment. Blocks turns walking into progress: every street you cover is permanently recorded, neighbourhoods fill in as you explore them, and the map becomes a record of the city you have actually seen.
What I owned
- The progression model — what counts as a block, how it unlocks, and why that keeps people walking.
- The social and discovery layer: friend leaderboards, an activity feed, and a tastemaker model that weights recommendations by whose taste you actually trust.
- Growth end to end — marketing site, acquisition campaign, lifecycle push and email.
